FOMO is a mobile-first, multichain trading app that charges 0.5% per trade (with a $0.95 minimum on Solana) and includes gas, according to TechCrunch. It ranks second in our list (7.8/10) thanks to the lowest headline fee and the best phone experience, but it has fewer pro tools than desktop terminals.
FOMO at a glance
FOMO launched on iOS and Android in May 2025 and also runs on the web at fomo.family. The site describes it as a "social-first crypto platform" where you can "follow traders, copy trades", see leaderboards, get alerts on what top traders buy, and fund with Apple Pay. It says it serves 2,500,000 traders; we could not independently verify that number.
The company raised a $17 million Series A led by Benchmark in November 2025 (The Block).
FOMO is busy. DefiLlama shows about $35 million in 30-day fees, about $11.4 million of it on Solana (DefiLlama, checked September 25, 2026). That makes it the second-largest Solana trading app we track after Axiom.
FOMO fees
FOMO's terms of service say it "charges a fee on transactions", and the exact fee is shown before you confirm. It does not publish a percentage on its own site. The best published figure comes from TechCrunch (November 2025):
- Spot trades: 0.50% per trade
- Minimum: $0.95 per trade on Solana; no minimum on cheaper chains like Base and BNB Chain
- Gas: not charged to users
- Perps: 0.05% per transaction, plus third-party protocol fees, per the terms
The $0.95 minimum matters. On a $20 trade, $0.95 is almost 5%, far above the 1% flat fee at Trojan or GMGN. Once trades are above about $190, the 0.5% rate is the cheapest in our list. See the full breakdown in Solana trading bot fees compared.
FOMO referral code
FOMO's terms confirm a referral program and ban self-referrals, but FOMO does not publish what discount a referred user gets. Several third-party guides say a referral gives 10% off fees for life; we have not confirmed this from an official source, so our fee score doesn't count it. Our FOMO link is an affiliate link.
Features
Social copy trading. Follow traders, see their entries and live profit/loss, and copy buys from the feed. It's the simplest copy trading in our list. Compare options in best Solana copy trading bots.
Multichain, one balance. Trade Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum and more from one app, with no manual bridging.
MEV protection. FOMO says it routes trades through DFlow "for better execution and MEV protection" (FOMO).
Perps. Leveraged perpetuals are listed in the terms at 0.05% per transaction.
What's missing: no sniping, no DCA and no advanced limit-order tooling in FOMO's published materials. Serious desktop traders will want a trading terminal.
Is FOMO safe?
We found no reported hack or exploit of FOMO. On custody, the terms say your wallet "is generated and managed by Privy", your trading wallet "is non-custodial", and you can view and export your private keys.
Two caveats. First, FOMO is young: it has about 16 months of public history. Second, it is still a hot wallet on your phone, so a phished account or a stolen device can cost you funds. Use a strong device lock and keep large holdings elsewhere. More in are Solana trading bots safe?
How FOMO scores
| Factor | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Fees (30%) | 8.0 | 0.5% headline (minimum fee noted as a con) |
| Features (30%) | 6 | MEV, wallet following, copy trading, perps, multichain, social feed |
| Security (25%) | 9.0 | No reported incident |
| Usability (15%) | 9 | Native apps, web, Apple Pay, simple social interface; no published fee page |
Weighted rating: 7.8/10. Method: about page.
FOMO vs alternatives
- Trojan: more tools and Telegram access, 0.8% net fee, Solana only.
- GMGN: also has mobile apps and copy trading, with a full pro terminal on web.
- BONKbot: a simple phone option through Telegram.

What a trade really costs on FOMO
Because of the minimum, FOMO's cost depends heavily on trade size. Using TechCrunch's figures for Solana (our calculations):
| Trade size | FOMO fee | Share of trade | 1% bot fee |
|---|---|---|---|
| $20 | $0.95 | 4.75% | $0.20 |
| $100 | $0.95 | 0.95% | $1.00 |
| $500 | $2.50 | 0.50% | $5.00 |
On Base and BNB Chain, TechCrunch said there's no minimum, so small trades there cost just 0.5%. FOMO also doesn't charge users gas, which on Solana saves the priority fee you'd set on other bots. Always check the fee FOMO shows before you confirm, since its terms say it can vary.
Getting started safely
- Download FOMO from the official App Store or Google Play listing linked on fomo.family, not from a search ad.
- Fund with a small amount first; FOMO supports Apple Pay.
- Export and back up your private key, as the terms allow. If you lose your phone, that backup matters.
- Before copying anyone, look at their history over many trades, not just one big win.
Who should use FOMO
Good fit: phone-first traders, beginners, and anyone who wants to trade across chains without bridging.
Look elsewhere if: you make many small trades, want sniping or DCA, or prefer Telegram (best Telegram bots).
Verdict
FOMO is the best pick if you trade from your phone, want copy trading without setup, and place trades above roughly $190. For small, frequent trades the $0.95 Solana minimum hurts, and power users will miss sniping and advanced orders.
Risk note: Memecoin trading is high risk and social feeds can amplify hype. Apps can be hacked or shut down. Only trade money you can afford to lose.
