FOMO

  • Pro: Native iOS and Android apps plus web
  • Pro: Gas is not charged to users on trades (TechCrunch)
  • Pro: Follow and copy other traders from a social feed
  • Con: A $0.95 minimum fee on Solana makes small trades expensive
  • Con: Fee percentage is not published on the official site; shown before each trade
  • Con: No sniping, DCA or advanced order types documented

GMGN

  • Pro: Web, mobile apps and a Telegram bot (@GMGN_sol_bot)
  • Pro: Built-in copy trading and smart-money wallet tracking
  • Pro: Covers Solana, BNB, Base, Ethereum, Robinhood Chain and more
  • Pro: Compensated users after both October 2025 incidents
  • Con: Flat 1% fee with no volume tiers
  • Con: No official fee discount for referred users published
  • Con: Oct 2025: anti-MEV nodes on BNB were sandwiched for about 13 hours

FOMO is the better pick for most phone traders: a lower headline fee, the simplest copy trading we've seen and no reported incidents. GMGN is better if you want limit orders, a Telegram bot or serious wallet research tools. FOMO scores 7.2/10 and GMGN 8.7/10; on our editors' list, which weighs score, usage and ease of starting, they sit #2 and #3 (how we rank).

Risk notice: Crypto trading is high risk and memecoins can go to zero in minutes. Trading bots use hot wallets. This page is not financial advice; only trade what you can afford to lose.

Fees

GMGN's fee is documented: 1% per transaction, including copy trades. FOMO doesn't publish a percentage on its site (its terms say the fee is shown before each trade), so we rely on TechCrunch's November 2025 report of 0.5%, a $0.95 minimum on Solana, and no gas charged to users.

Against a flat 1%, FOMO's minimum only bites below $95 (our calculation):

Solana tradeFOMOGMGN
$30$0.95$0.30
$95$0.95$0.95
$400$2.00$4.00

Two things tilt it further toward FOMO. It doesn't charge you gas, while GMGN recommends 0.002-0.005 SOL in combined priority and tip fees per normal trade. And TechCrunch said FOMO has no minimum on Base and BNB Chain. GMGN's advantage is predictability: the same 1% on every trade, whatever the size. More in cheapest Solana trading bot.

Winner: FOMO, unless most of your trades are small.

FOMO: fomo.family, terms, FOMO on DFlow. GMGN: docs, CoinCodeCap.

Both copy trades, but the experience differs. On FOMO, you follow people in a feed, see their entries and live profit and loss, and tap to copy. On GMGN, you research wallets by their on-chain record and set up copies with your own parameters; some users report 2-5 second delays (uwuu.ai). GMGN also has limit orders and a new-token feed, which FOMO lacks. FOMO has perps at 0.05% per transaction, per its terms.

A leaderboard shows past results, not future ones. Before copying anyone, read copy trading Solana wallets explained.

Winner: GMGN on tools; FOMO on simplicity.

Safety

FOMO: we found no reported hack or exploit. Its terms say the wallet is non-custodial and "generated and managed by Privy", with private key export. The main caveat is a short record, since it launched in May 2025.

GMGN: an anti-MEV node failure on BNB Chain on October 25, 2025 affected 729 transactions (Crypto Economy), and a phishing attack on October 28, 2025 hit about 107 users (PANews). GMGN said it compensated users in full both times.

On any phone app, protect the device: a strong lock, app downloads only from links on the official site, and an offline backup of your exported key. See are Solana trading bots safe?

Winner: FOMO (9.0 vs 8.0 on security).

Ease of use

FOMO is built for people who have never used a trading terminal: social feed, Apple Pay funding, one balance across chains. GMGN has more surfaces, including a Telegram bot (@GMGN_sol_bot), but its screens are denser. Both score 9 on usability in our method: FOMO misses only a published fee page, and GMGN only a simple or beginner mode.

Guides: how to use FOMO, how to use GMGN.

Winner: FOMO for beginners.

Usage

The two are close in total fees but split differently. As of September 26, 2026, DefiLlama shows FOMO at $35.32 million over 30 days, with about $11.44 million on Solana, and GMGN at $51.95 million, with about $5.77 million on Solana. Both earn most of their fees on Robinhood Chain. On Solana, FOMO is about twice as busy.
