GMGN Taxes: How to Get Your GMGN Trade History for Taxes (2026)

GMGN's docs don't describe a trade history export. Get each wallet address from the bot or web app, on every chain you used, and import them into crypto tax software.

GMGN's docs don't describe a trade history or CSV export, so to do GMGN taxes you import each GMGN wallet's public address, on every chain you traded, into crypto tax software. In the Telegram bot, type /wallet to see your address. The software reads the swaps from the blockchain and builds Form 8949. We checked GMGN's docs on September 26, 2026.

Risk notice: Crypto trading is high risk and memecoins can go to zero in minutes. Trading bots use hot wallets. This page is not financial advice; only trade what you can afford to lose.

Not tax advice: This guide explains where your GMGN data lives and what the IRS has published. Talk to a tax professional before you file.

Background on the rules: Solana memecoin taxes. On the platform: our GMGN review (it scores 8.7/10) and how to use GMGN.

What GMGN gives you

GMGN's wallet detail page shows 7-day and 30-day profit and loss and win rate. Its import/export page covers importing and exporting lists of tracked wallet addresses with names and tags, not your transaction history. We found no trade history download or tax report in the docs.

Those PnL views (and our own memecoin PnL calculator) aren't tax figures. The IRS taxes realized gains and losses on each disposal, using your cost basis (IRS FAQ). The blockchain has every trade, so start there.

Step 1: Collect every GMGN wallet address

Per GMGN's wallet docs:

  • Telegram wallet: "Enter /wallet in the bot or click on the wallet to enter the wallet page to see your TG wallet address."
  • Extra Solana wallets: importing wallets to the Solana bot takes you to "the GMGN web multi-wallet management page". Copy each address you traded from.
  • Other chains: GMGN is multichain (Solana, BNB, Base, Ethereum and more per our review). Each chain has its own address. Add them under the matching chain in your tax tool.
  • Withdrawal wallets: GMGN withdrawals go to a whitelisted address set on the website. Import that wallet too, so withdrawals are matched as transfers, not sales.

Only share public addresses with tax software. Never paste a private key into any tax site.

Step 2: Import into tax software

Add each Solana address as a Solana wallet:

  • CoinLedger: paste the address under Solana; DEX spot trades import this way (CoinLedger help).
  • CoinTracker: connect by public address (CoinTracker). Its pricing page says it supports on-chain activity "across EVM chains and Solana" (pricing).

For gaps, Solscan's Transfers tab has an Export to CSV option for Solana accounts, covering data after July 7, 2021 (Solscan), and CoinLedger accepts a Solana CSV upload (CoinLedger).

Step 3: Check fees

GMGN charges a flat 1% per trade (GMGN docs), plus priority fees and tips. Per the IRS:

  • Buy fees go into cost basis: fees and "other acquisition costs" (FAQ 8).
  • Sell fees reduce proceeds as "digital asset transaction costs" (Form 8949 instructions).

So they reduce your gains rather than being a separate deduction. Open a few trades on a block explorer and confirm the software captured the fee.

A worked example

Hypothetical numbers, to show how fees move your gain. Say you buy a token with 1 SOL when SOL is worth $150, and the bot fee is 0.01 SOL ($1.50). Your cost basis in the token is about $151.50, including the fee. Swapping the SOL is also a disposal of SOL, with its own gain or loss against what you paid for that SOL.

Later you sell the token for 1.5 SOL when SOL is worth $150, or $225, and pay a 0.015 SOL ($2.25) fee. Your net proceeds are about $222.75, so the short-term gain is about $71.25, not $75. Across thousands of trades, getting fees right matters. Tax software does this math per trade if it reads the fee correctly.

Step 4: Referral rewards (uncertain)

GMGN runs a referral program with a rewards page (GMGN docs). The docs we read don't say how or in which token rewards are paid. Referral rewards look like payment for services, which the IRS treats as income at fair market value when received (FAQ 9 and 12), but there's no IRS guidance specific to bot referral rewards. Record each payout's date and value and ask a tax professional.

Which tax tool for GMGN traders?

Multichain traders need a tool that handles both Solana and EVM wallets. Prices as of September 26, 2026:

  • CoinLedger: $99 for up to 1,000 transactions, $199+ for 3,000+, free import and preview, 14-day refund (pricing). Try CoinLedger
  • CoinTracker: $199 for 1,000, $599 for 10,000, and one purchase covers every year you've traded (pricing). Try CoinTracker

Common mistakes

  • Only importing Solana. If you traded on BNB or Base through GMGN, those trades live at different addresses.
  • Missing copy-trade activity. Copy trades are regular swaps from your wallet and count the same.
  • Treating withdrawals as sales. Link your whitelist wallet so moves between your own wallets aren't taxed.
  • Using 7D/30D PnL. It doesn't track cost basis for tax purposes.

Risk note

Tax software can misread swaps, especially across chains, and may misprice illiquid tokens. Check the results and keep your own records. This page is not tax advice; talk to a tax professional.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I export my GMGN trade history for taxes?

We found no trade history or CSV export in GMGN's docs as of September 26, 2026. Its wallet pages show 7-day and 30-day PnL, but for taxes you should import your GMGN wallet addresses into crypto tax software.

How do I find my GMGN wallet address?

GMGN's docs say to enter /wallet in the Telegram bot, or open the wallet page, to see your address. Extra Solana wallets are managed on GMGN's web multi-wallet page.

I traded on several chains on GMGN. What do I import?

Each chain uses its own address. Import your Solana address as a Solana wallet and your EVM addresses (such as BNB Chain or Base) under those chains in your tax software.

Are GMGN fees deductible?

Not as a separate deduction. Per IRS guidance, fees on buys add to cost basis and fees on sells reduce proceeds, which lowers your taxable gain.
