Trojan is the better choice over Photon for almost every trader: about 0.8% net instead of 1%, copy trading and sniping, and both a Telegram bot and a web terminal. Both have DCA and a clean security record, so Photon's only real advantage is a simpler, web-only screen. Trojan scores 7.0/10 and Photon 6.9/10.
Risk notice: Crypto trading is high risk and memecoins can go to zero in minutes. Trading bots use hot wallets. This page is not financial advice; only trade what you can afford to lose.
Quick verdict
- Pick Trojan for lower costs, copy trading, sniping and perps, on your phone through Telegram or on a desktop. Open Trojan

Fees
Photon's fee is as simple as it gets: 1% of the initial token amount on every buy and sell, collected in SOL. Its docs give the example of a 5 SOL buy costing 0.05 SOL.
Trojan charges the same 1%, only on successful transactions, and pays 20% of it back to every user. Net, that's about 0.8%. A round trip of a 5 SOL position (buy plus sell of roughly the same size) costs about 0.1 SOL on Photon and about 0.08 SOL on Trojan, before priority fees, tips and venue fees (our calculation).
Neither publishes an extra discount for referred users. Trojan's cashback doesn't depend on a referral. More in Solana trading bot fees compared.
Winner: Trojan.
Features

|---|---|---|
| Sniping / launch buys | Yes | Auto-buy triggers |
| Limit orders | Price, market cap or time | Yes, with SL/TP |
| DCA / TWAP | Yes | Yes |

| New-token feed | Trenches | Memescope |
| Perps | Yes (web) | No |
| Multichain | No | Separate sites |
| Social / X monitoring | Yes | No |
Trojan has nine of our ten checklist items; Photon has five. Photon does the core jobs well: Memescope filters new launches, and limit orders take a stop loss and take profit. Trojan adds the tools that have become standard since Photon's peak: copy trading, wallet analytics, a social tracker and perps. Trojan also bundles small utilities like reclaiming SOL rent and an ETH-to-SOL bridge via deBridge, per its docs.
For how MEV protection works on either, see Solana MEV protection explained.
Winner: Trojan.
Safety
This is the one area where they're level. We found no confirmed platform-level exploit for Trojan in news coverage or Helius's list of Solana hacks, and no confirmed breach for Photon. Both score 9.0 on security in our method.
The risks come from around the products. For Photon, Photon Guides reports clone sites that drain wallets, and it says Photon shows your key only once. For Trojan, your Telegram account is the entry point; set Telegram two-step verification and Trojan's Secure Action Password, which its docs say protects exports and withdrawals. Back up any exported key offline.

Winner: tie.
Ease of use
Photon is a single web page with a clear layout and no Telegram or app to learn. On a phone, Photon Guides says users import the key into Phantom's in-app browser, which is clunky and adds risk. Trojan works on a phone through Telegram, with Simple and Advanced modes (CoinGecko), and on a desktop through trojan.com.
Guides: how to use Trojan bot, how to use Photon.
Winner: Trojan (9 vs 7 on usability).
Usage
Both have lost most of their traders to newer web terminals. As of September 26, 2026, DefiLlama shows about $1.08 million in 30-day fees for Trojan (against about $227 million lifetime) and about $432,000 for Photon. Photon Guides puts Photon's monthly peak around $84.6 million in January 2025. By comparison, Axiom earned about $44.86 million on Solana in the same 30 days (DefiLlama).
Who should pick which
First Solana bot: Trojan in Simple Mode, or Photon if you prefer a browser to a chat.
Phone trader: Trojan.
Wants DCA and limit orders only: either; Photon has fewer distractions.
Wants to copy wallets or snipe launches: Trojan.
Leaving Photon: move funds to your own wallet first, then fund the new bot. See Photon alternatives.

| Fees | Features | Security | Usability | Rating | |

| Trojan | 6.8 | 9 | 9.0 | 9 | 7.0 |
| Photon | 6.0 | 5 | 9.0 | 7 | 6.9 |
Method: about page. On our editors' list, which weighs score, usage and ease of starting, Trojan is #4 and Photon #8.
Bottom line
Trojan and Photon share a clean record, but Trojan wins on price, features and platforms. Photon remains a reasonable pick only if you want the simplest possible web terminal and nothing else. See the full Solana trading bot ranking, or compare Axiom vs Trojan and Axiom vs Photon.
