Background
Photon was the web terminal that made browser-based memecoin trading popular on Solana. Photon Guides puts its peak at about $84.6 million in monthly fees in January 2025. Axiom arrived later and took over the category. On DefiLlama today (checked September 25, 2026), Axiom shows about $52.9 million in 30-day fees (DefiLlama) against about $483,000 for Photon (DefiLlama).

Custody and security
Both are described as non-custodial. Photon creates a wallet at sign-up and shows the private key once. Axiom is non-custodial per Coin Bureau.
Axiom faced an allegation in February 2026 that an employee misused internal support tools to look up user wallet data (CoinDesk). Axiom removed the access and said it was investigating. No funds were reported stolen.
Photon has no confirmed breach. The main risk is phishing clones of the Photon site.

Wants DCA on a web terminal: Photon has it documented; Axiom doesn't.
Wants to follow or copy wallets: Axiom can track wallets but not copy them; Photon can do neither. Look at GMGN instead.
Worried about staff access to data: Photon has no reported incident of that kind. Whatever you pick, use a wallet that isn't linked to your name.
Migrating from Photon to Axiom
