To use Trojan bot, open the official Trojan bot in Telegram, press START, fund the wallet address it shows with SOL, then paste a token's contract address and choose a buy amount. This guide walks through each step, from your first buy to limit orders, DCA and copy trading, based on Trojan's official docs as of September 2026.

Before you start
- Use only official links. Trojan's docs warn: "Always use official links!" Fake Telegram bots with similar names are a common scam. Start from trojan.com or our Trojan link (an affiliate link).
- Turn on Telegram two-step verification. Anyone who controls your Telegram can control your bot.
- Decide your budget. Trojan's docs say to "always treat your wallet as a hot wallet." Only send what you're prepared to lose.
Step 1: Start the bot and get your wallet
Open the bot in Telegram and press START. A Solana wallet is created for you, and its address appears at the top of the main menu. Trojan's docs note that its official bots can be used interchangeably and share the same wallets and settings.
Step 2: Set a Secure Action Password
Do this before you deposit. Go to Settings → Account Security, create a password and a hint. Once set, the SAP is required for sensitive actions like exporting keys and withdrawing. The docs warn it "cannot be reset", so store it safely.
Step 3: Fund the wallet
Copy the wallet address from the main menu and send SOL to it from an exchange or another wallet. You can confirm the transfer on a Solana explorer; the docs note that delays from exchanges are typical.
Step 4: Choose Simple or Advanced mode
In Settings you can switch modes. Simple Mode offers "a familiar UI with easy maneuvering for fast swaps." Advanced Mode unlocks copy trading, snipers, limit orders and DCA. If a feature seems missing, you're probably in Simple Mode.
Step 5: Set gas, slippage and MEV protection
Priority fee (gas). Trojan offers Fast (0.0015 SOL), Turbo (0.0075 SOL) or Custom. The docs point out that "gas tips are paid to the network even if your transaction fails." You can set a separate priority fee for sells.
Slippage. The default is 15%. Raise it for new, volatile memecoins, sniping or copy trading; lower it for larger tokens.
MEV protection. In Settings, enable MEV Protect separately for buys and sells. The bot then waits for a protected slot, which keeps your transaction private from sandwich bots, per the docs.
Step 6: Buy a token
- Paste or forward the token's contract address (CA) into the chat, or tap Buy and send the CA.
- Make sure Swap is selected (in Advanced Mode).
- Pick a preset amount or enter your own.
- Check the slippage.
- Tap Buy.
Always trade by contract address. As the docs explain, the CA "ensures you are trading the right crypto, and not some copycat scam token."
Step 7: Sell
Tap Sell, choose the token, make sure Swap is on, pick a percentage or amount, check slippage and tap Sell. You can enable Sell Protection, which asks for confirmation when you sell more than 75% of a position.
Step 8: Use limit orders
- Tap Buy (or Sell) and select Limit.
- Choose an amount.
- Pick a trigger: Price (a dollar price or market cap), Event (such as migration or the developer selling) or Scheduled (time-based).
- Set an expiry, such as 2h or 30d.
- Tap Create Order.
For a stop loss, enter a negative percentage change; for take profit, a positive one. Trojan also supports trailing stop losses that track the highest price after the order is created. Manage open orders from Limit Orders in the main menu.
Step 9: Set up DCA
Tap Buy, select DCA, enter the total amount, the interval and the duration, and optionally a minimum and maximum price. Tap Create Order. Careful: the docs warn that if Duration is left blank, the bot "will continue with the DCA Buys until the selected wallet is exhausted."
Step 10: Copy trade a wallet
- In Advanced Mode, open Copy Trading and tap +New.
- Add a tag (a name) and the wallet address to copy.
- Set the buy amount: a percentage of their trades or a fixed amount.
- Choose Copy Sells or Auto Sell.
- Set gas and slippage, then tap Add.
Useful filters include a maximum buy per trade, skipping duplicate buys, excluding Pump.fun tokens, minimum liquidity and market cap limits, and a token blacklist. Trojan notes that high-frequency sniper wallets "cannot be copied." Before copying anyone, read our tips in best Solana copy trading bots.
Step 11: Snipe new launches (optional)
Under the sniper menu, tap +New Setup, then set an amount, slippage and snipe tip. Add filters such as launch platform, mint/freeze authority, required socials, liquidity range, dev holdings, and white/blacklists. Set Max Snipes so it pauses after a set number. There's also a migration sniper for tokens moving to a DEX. Sniping is especially risky: you buy before a token has any track record at all.
Step 12: Withdraw and export
Withdraw: tap Withdraw, choose SOL or a token, enter the destination address and confirm.
Export your key: Settings → Wallets → choose the wallet → Export Private Keys. You'll need your SAP if set. Only import that key into a wallet you trust. In March 2024, many drained Solana users had exported bot keys into another app (Decrypt).
What it costs
Trojan charges 1% per successful trade, and the docs say all users get 20% cashback, so about 0.8% net. Add priority fees (from 0.0015 SOL on Fast) and the venue's own fee. See Solana trading bot fees compared.
Prefer a web interface?
Trojan also has a web terminal at trojan.com with a launch feed, wallet analytics, social tracking and perps. To see how terminals differ from Telegram bots, read what is a Solana trading terminal. Risk note
Memecoin trading is extremely high risk, and a bot makes it easy to trade fast and lose fast. Telegram bot wallets are hot wallets that can be drained if your account or key leaks, and any bot can be hacked or shut down. Only use money you can afford to lose. More in are Solana trading bots safe?
