GMGN's docs describe referral rewards for referrers but no fee discount for new users. Here's what a GMGN referral code actually does, and what you'll pay.

GMGN's official docs don't document any fee discount for referred users. Its referral pages describe rewards for the person who shares the link, and its fee page lists "a 1% handling fee for a single transaction" with no discounts (GMGN fees, checked September 26, 2026). So as far as we can verify, you pay 1% per trade with or without a GMGN referral code.

We checked three official GMGN pages:
What it does: binds your account to the referrer, who earns a share of GMGN's fees from your trades.
What it doesn't do (per the docs): lower your 1% fee, reduce gas, priority or tip fees, or cut launchpad fees.
Search for "GMGN referral code" and you'll find pages promising 10%, 15% or 30% off trading fees with a specific code. None of those pages is a GMGN source, and they don't agree with each other. We could not confirm any referee discount in GMGN's docs, and CoinCodeCap also said it couldn't verify one. We don't claim a discount for our link either.
If GMGN adds an official invitee discount, it should appear in the app or docs. Until then, treat these codes as marketing.

GMGN's docs note that priority and tip fees go to validators and nodes, not GMGN. Copy trades pay the same 1%. On a $100 trade the GMGN fee is $1.00; on $10,000 of monthly volume, $100.

For your fee, not based on GMGN's docs: a referral link or none gives the same 1%. GMGN's docs say the code binds automatically when you click, and they don't describe any way to change it later. Two things matter more than which code you pick:
GMGN's value isn't the fee. It has built-in copy trading and smart-money tracking, Migrated Snipe for Solana launches, and it runs on web, iOS, Android and Telegram across Solana and several EVM chains. It had two incidents in October 2025, an MEV-protection failure on BNB Chain and a phishing attack, and said it compensated affected users both times (Crypto Economy; PANews). Those claims come from third-party pages, not GMGN. We could not verify any of them from an official GMGN source as of September 26, 2026. If GMGN shows a discount in the app, the app is the authority.
1% per transaction, the same as without one, based on the docs. You also pay gas, priority and tip fees, and launchpad fees such as Pump.fun's.
GMGN's docs say a referral code is bound automatically when someone clicks the link, whether they use a browser wallet or the Telegram bot wallet. Links look like gmgn.ai/?ref={code} or t.me/GMGN_sol_bot?start=i_{code}.
