The safest Solana trading bot in 2026 is Trojan (7.0/10), because it combines exportable non-custodial keys, a Secure Action Password on withdrawals and key export, and no confirmed platform exploit. FOMO (7.2) matches its clean record and is the safest phone app, Axiom (9.1) has the strongest documented key infrastructure but a 2026 insider allegation, and BONKbot (6.8) and GMGN (8.7) each have an incident on file.
Risk notice: Crypto trading is high risk and memecoins can go to zero in minutes. Trading bots use hot wallets. This page is not financial advice; only trade what you can afford to lose.
"Safest" here means the smallest risk of losing funds because of the bot itself. It doesn't make memecoins safer, and the biggest risk for most users is still phishing. This page ranks security only, so the order differs from our main ranking. Facts were checked October 16, 2026, from the linked pages.
How we judged security
We looked at five things for each bot:
- Incident history: confirmed exploits, drains linked to the bot, and how the team responded.
- Custody and exit: can you export your key or recovery phrase and leave?
- Account controls: withdrawal passwords, 2FA, address whitelists.
- Operator transparency: is there a named company, and what do the terms say about losses?
- Phishing exposure: how many look-alike bots and sites target its users, and whether the bot publishes official links.
Incident history carries the most weight, using the security sub-scores from our method: every bot starts at 9, with deductions for confirmed or disputed incidents.
The ranking
1. Trojan: safest overall
Trojan's docs say users "have access to the private keys" of their trading wallets, that keys are encrypted, and that wallets can be exported. Its Secure Action Password must be entered to export a key, withdraw or burn tokens. Its web terminal uses self-custody wallets on Privy, per trojan.com. We found no confirmed platform exploit. Trojan also publishes every official bot at trojanonsolana.com/links.
- Security sub-score: 9.0
- Watch out for: an anonymous team behind the ChainSpark Foundation, liability capped at HK$1,000, and terms that exclude US users (Trojan terms). Full detail in is Trojan safe?

2. FOMO: safest phone app
FOMO's terms say your wallet "is generated and managed by Privy," that the trading wallet "is non-custodial," and that you can view and export your private keys. The operator is a named US company, FOMO Labs, Inc. We found no reported hack or exploit.
- Security sub-score: 9.0
- Watch out for: a shorter track record than the others, and a phone-based hot wallet, so a stolen or unlocked phone is a real risk. More in our FOMO review.

3. Axiom: strongest key infrastructure, one data incident
Axiom's docs describe "non-custodial infrastructure, secure key management, and encryption," name Turnkey as its wallet partner, and let you view your recovery phrase in settings. Support is only through Discord tickets, and the docs tell you to ignore DMs. No theft of user funds has been reported.
The mark against it: in February 2026, ZachXBT alleged that an Axiom business development employee misused internal support tools to look up users' wallet data. Axiom said it removed access and was investigating (CoinDesk).
- Security sub-score: 8.5
- Watch out for: privacy if your trading wallet is tied to your identity, and fake Axiom apps and drainer sites. See is Axiom safe?

4. BONKbot: simple, with a disputed 2024 link
On March 29, 2024, about 302 Solana wallets were drained of roughly $523,000. Decrypt reported that 113 victims had used BONKbot; BONKbot said the drains likely came from users importing exported keys into another app. Its newer Telemetry terminal lists a non-custodial design, passkeys and TPM + HSM hardware, though it publishes few technical details.
- Security sub-score: 8.5 (disputed incident)
- Watch out for: don't import your BONKbot key into other apps. Full detail in our BONKbot review.

5. GMGN: strong withdrawal controls, two incidents
GMGN has the strictest withdrawal setup here. Its wallet docs require account security verification, limit withdrawals to whitelisted addresses, and hold withdrawals for 3 hours after you set or change the whitelist (24 hours after rebinding Google Authenticator). The same docs say private keys cannot be exported, so you can only leave by withdrawing.
In October 2025, GMGN's anti-MEV nodes on BNB Chain were sandwich-attacked for about 13 hours, and a separate phishing attack hit about 107 users. GMGN says it compensated affected users in full both times.
- Security sub-score: 8.0
- Watch out for: no key export, plus many fake GMGN bots. See is GMGN safe?

Bots outside our list with worse records
The Helius list of Solana hacks shows what goes wrong. Solareum, a Telegram bot, shut down in April 2024 after user wallets were drained, with no refunds promised. Banana Gun lost about 563 ETH from 11 user wallets in September 2024 through a flaw in its Telegram message oracle, and promised full refunds. Thunder Terminal lost about $240,000 in December 2023 through a compromised database connection. A bot's response to an incident tells you as much as the incident itself.
Habits matter more than the bot
The safest bot can still be drained in one bad click. Most losses we see in reporting come from:
- Fake bots and sites. Open bots only from the official links page or site, bookmarked. Never search Telegram by name.
- Exported keys pasted elsewhere. The 2024 drain is the textbook case.
- Wallet-connect "claim" pages. Never connect your trading wallet to a site promising an airdrop or refund.
- Oversized balances. Keep only what you'd accept losing in any bot, and withdraw profits often.
