Axiom is the better Solana web terminal for most traders: its fees are documented, it has more tools, and it has far more users. Padre, now Pump.fun's Terminal, has a cleaner security record and DCA orders, but no official fee page. Axiom scores 9.1/10 and Padre 7.1/10; they sit #1 and #7 on our editors' list, which weighs score, usage and ease of starting (how we rank).
Risk notice: Crypto trading is high risk and memecoins can go to zero in minutes. Trading bots use hot wallets. This page is not financial advice; only trade what you can afford to lose.
Quick verdict
- Pick Axiom for published, tiered fees, the Pulse feed, an X monitor, Hyperliquid perps and the biggest Solana crowd. Open Axiom
- Pick Padre (Terminal) if you mostly trade Pump.fun launches, want DCA orders, and are fine checking the fee on each trade. Open Padre

Fees
Axiom's fee docs list seven cashback tiers, from Wood (0.95% net) to Champion (0.75% net), and its referral docs give referred users 10% off. That's all official.
Terminal is harder to pin down. It has no fee page, and Padre's old docs don't list one. Terminalpedia, updated August 6, 2026, says it read Terminal's live code and found a flat 1% fee, with 10% cashback for direct sign-ups (0.90% effective) and 35% for sign-ups through a referral link (0.65% effective). If that's right, a referred Terminal user pays less than anyone on Axiom. We couldn't confirm it from Pump.fun or Terminal directly, so our fee score uses the plain 1%.
One cost matters more on Terminal because of what people trade there. Tokens still on Pump.fun's bonding curve carry Pump.fun's own 1.25% fee each way (Pump.fun docs), whichever terminal you use. More on that in what is Pump.fun.
Winner: Axiom, on what's verifiable. Check the fee Terminal shows on your first trade.

Axiom: docs, Coin Bureau. Padre: Terminalpedia, Padre docs.
DCA is the one order type Terminal has that Axiom doesn't document; it splits a large entry into scheduled buys. Older reviews also listed TWAP, but Terminalpedia found none in the app's code (August 19, 2026), so we treat it as unconfirmed. Axiom answers with migration tools, an X monitor and perps. Terminal reaches Ethereum and Base, which Axiom doesn't.
Winner: Axiom.
Safety
Axiom: CoinDesk reported on February 26, 2026 that ZachXBT accused an employee of misusing internal support tools to view user wallet data. Axiom removed the access and investigated. No funds were reported stolen.
Padre (Terminal): no reported hack. Terminalpedia says wallets are built on Turnkey and encrypted with a password the platform doesn't store, so a lost password may not be recoverable. The one controversy was financial: after the acquisition, the PADRE token lost its utility and fell about 80%, and holders were later offered PUMP tokens (Blockworks).
A change of owner is a risk in itself: policies and roadmap are now Pump.fun's. Whichever you use, go to the site directly and never through a link in a DM. More in are Solana trading bots safe?
Winner: Padre, on security record (9.0 vs 8.5 in our method).
Ease of use
Both are browser-only terminals with no Telegram bot or native app. The difference is documentation: Axiom publishes fee, referral and priority-fee docs, while Terminal leaves you to read fees in the app. That's why Axiom gets 7 on usability and Padre 6. Our how to use Axiom guide covers Axiom's settings.
Winner: Axiom.
Usage
As of September 26, 2026, DefiLlama shows about $44.86 million in Solana fees for Axiom over 30 days and about $5.39 million for Terminal. Terminal is still one of the busier Solana apps we track, but Axiom is roughly eight times larger on Solana.
Who should pick which
General Solana memecoin trader on desktop: Axiom.
Pump.fun launch specialist: Terminal is Pump.fun's own tool; see best Pump.fun trading bot.
Wants to split big entries: Terminal's DCA orders.
Wants perps or X alerts next to spot trades: Axiom.
Trades Ethereum or Base memecoins: Terminal covers both; Axiom doesn't.
Wants a fee you can check in docs before signing up: Axiom.
Scores
| Fees | Features | Security | Usability | Rating | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Axiom | 6.6 | 8 | 8.5 | 7 | 9.1 |
| Padre (Terminal) | 6.0 | 6 | 9.0 | 6 | 7.1 |
Method: about page.
Bottom line
Axiom is the safer bet on what you can verify: fees, features and where the traders are. Terminal is a capable Pump.fun-owned alternative with a clean record, and if its reported referral cashback is accurate it could be cheaper. Until Pump.fun publishes those terms, we rank Axiom well ahead. For how Terminal (formerly Padre) works, see Padre Terminal explained.
