Reclaim SOL Checker: How Much Rent Is Locked in Your Wallet?

By the SolBotRank team · Updated September 26, 2026

Every token you have ever bought on Solana opened a token account that holds a small SOL deposit. Once you sell out, the account sits empty but keeps the SOL. Paste a public wallet address to see how many empty accounts it has and how much SOL closing them would return. Read-only: no wallet connection, no signatures.

Check a wallet

Read-only. We never ask you to connect a wallet or sign anything, and we don't store the address. Never paste a seed phrase or private key into any site.

How the checker works

It asks a Solana RPC node for every token account owned by the address, under both the original SPL Token program and Token-2022. An account counts as reclaimable when its token balance is exactly zero and it isn't frozen. The SOL figure is the sum of the lamports those accounts actually hold, so it is right for both older accounts (about 0.00204 SOL) and newer, cheaper ones. It does not count NFTs, stake accounts or other account types that some tools can also close.

What to do with the result

If the number is worth it, you have two options. A web tool closes the accounts for you in a few clicks and keeps a share of the rent: see our ranking of SOL reclaim tools and the Sol Incinerator alternatives. Or do it yourself for free with the Solana CLI, step by step in how to reclaim SOL. For a bot wallet, read reclaiming SOL from trading bot wallets first.

Stay safe

Reclaim tools are a favorite disguise for wallet drainers. Type the tool's address yourself, read what the wallet asks you to sign, and never enter a seed phrase anywhere. Try a small burner wallet first. The background on why the deposit exists is in Solana rent explained.

Frequently asked questions

Is this reclaim SOL checker safe to use?

Yes. It only reads public on-chain data for the address you paste. It never asks you to connect a wallet or sign a transaction, and we don't store the address. Any site that asks for your seed phrase to 'check' or 'claim' SOL is a scam.

How much SOL is in each empty token account?

Accounts opened before Solana's SIMD-0437 rent cut hold about 0.00203928 SOL each. Accounts opened after step 2 went live on September 11, 2026 hold less, about 0.00149 SOL. The checker adds up the exact amount each empty account holds.

Why does my wallet have so many empty token accounts?

Each new token you trade opens an account. Selling the whole balance leaves the account open and empty. Trading bot wallets that touch hundreds of memecoins often have hundreds of them.

Can I reclaim SOL from accounts that still hold tokens?

Not directly. The balance has to be zero before an account can be closed, so you would sell or burn the remaining tokens first. Burning is permanent, so only burn tokens you are sure are worthless.

Do I have to pay a reclaim tool?

No. You can close accounts yourself with the Solana CLI for only the network fee. Web tools are easier and take a share of the reclaimed rent, from about 2% to 15% depending on the tool.
