The best DEX Screener alternative in 2026 is Birdeye (8.1/10), because it adds a documented Security Check, smart-money boards and alerts to a new-listings screener. GeckoTerminal (8.0) is the best free alternative with a built-in safety score, and GMGN (8.7) and Axiom (9.1) are the picks if you want discovery, wallet tracking and one-click trading in one place.

What DEX Screener does
DEX Screener is a free chart and pair screener. Its docs say all data comes from its own indexer reading the blockchains directly, and that DEX Screener has no token. It has iOS and Android apps and a free API.
Every token is listed automatically "as soon as they are added to a liquidity pool and have at least one transaction" (token listing docs). Its Solana new pairs page shows age, buys and sells, volume, liquidity and market cap, with filters for liquidity, age and market cap. The homepage also has gainers and losers, multicharts, watchlists and alerts.
How DEX Screener makes money
Traders don't pay. Token projects do:
- Enhanced Token Info: lets a project add its logo, socials and token details. Its marketplace page showed $299 (marked down from $499) when we checked on September 26, 2026.
- Boosts: raise a token's visibility for 12 to 24 hours depending on the pack. At 500 active Boosts, the ticker turns gold. Boosts are non-refundable and can be removed if a token is flagged as malicious (Boosting docs). We could not confirm current Boost pack prices on an official page, so we don't list them.
- Advertising: token ads and trending bar ads are sold on the marketplace, and the homepage carries sponsored placements.
Why people look for alternatives
- Trending isn't neutral. DEX Screener's trending docs say "tokens with verified info get a boost, especially those with Enhanced Token Info", and Boosts multiply the Trending Score. Organic data still counts, but a paid token can sit higher than it otherwise would.
- Safety data lives elsewhere. Birdeye and GeckoTerminal document their token security checks in detail. For Solana memecoins, you want mint authority, freeze authority, holder concentration and LP status on the same screen.
- Built for charts, not trading. Memecoin traders often want to see which wallets are buying and to buy in one click. That's what terminals like GMGN and Axiom are built for.
The ranking
1. Birdeye: best overall alternative
Birdeye covers Solana plus Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base and other chains. Its Solana new listings view splits tokens into New, Final Curve and Migrated, which fits Pump.fun-style launches. It also has Smart Money, Profitable Traders and a Trader Board for wallet research.
Its Security Check covers mint and freeze authority, top-10 holder share, owner holdings and transfer fees, with a clear note that it "is not a guarantee of safety." The site is free to browse. Birdeye PRO lifts the free limits: top 10 trending tokens (100 on PRO), 30 days of chart history, 3 alerts and 1 watchlist. If you swap through Birdeye, the trade routes via Jupiter with a 0.6% processing fee.

- You lose: some features sit behind PRO; its price isn't in the docs
2. GeckoTerminal: best free alternative
GeckoTerminal comes from the CoinGecko team (about) and listed 224 networks on its homepage when we checked on September 26, 2026. Every pool gets a GT Score from 0 to 100 built from liquidity and volume, holder and trader counts, supply concentration, rug-risk checks such as "freeze & mint authority revoked, LP locked", and social signals (GT Score explained). CoinGecko doesn't publish the weights, on purpose, so the score is harder to game.
It tracks 10 security indicators, including honeypots, mintable and freezable tokens, top-10 concentration, developer holdings, LP lock and address clusters.

- You lose: no wallet tracker or trading
3. GMGN: discovery plus wallet tracking
GMGN is a trading terminal first, but its discovery tools rival a screener. Its smart money docs describe following smart money and KOL wallets in real time, and its token security panel shows mint, blacklist, LP burn and top-10 checks (CA security docs). Its Trenches feed shows Bundle % for new launches. Trading costs a flat 1% (GMGN fees); browsing is free.

4. Axiom: fastest path from screen to trade
Axiom's Pulse feed shows New Pairs, Final Stretch and Migrated tokens, with filters for top-10 holders, dev holdings, snipers, insiders, bundles, liquidity, volume and market cap. Its wallet tracker shows tracked wallets' buys on your charts. Trades cost 1% base, falling to 0.75%-0.95% net with cashback (Axiom fees).

DEXTools is the closest like-for-like DEX Screener rival. Its free plan includes Live New Pairs, Pair Explorer, Big Swap Explorer and Multichart (DEXTools plans). Its DEXTscore rates reliability from 1 to 99 using social info, volume, audits, holders, liquidity and contract details. Wallet tracking and ad-free use need a paid plan: its FAQ lists Standard at $100 a month paid in DEXT, and Premium for holders of 100,000 DEXT.
6. Photon: Memescope for fresh launches
Photon's Memescope screener filters new launches, and you can buy from the same screen. It has no wallet tracker, and its usage has fallen sharply (Photon Guides). It's here for traders who already use it; most should start with Axiom or GMGN.
