Pump.fun is the stronger launchpad for most people in 2026: it has about six times Bonk.fun's 30-day fees on DefiLlama, publishes every fee, and is supported by nearly every Solana bot. Bonk.fun's advantage is cost: its BONK Classic launches charge no creator fee and a reported 0.30% swap fee, against Pump.fun's 1.25% on the bonding curve. Pump.fun scores 9.5/10 and Bonk.fun 7.2/10 in our launchpad listings.
Risk notice: Crypto trading is high risk and memecoins can go to zero in minutes. Trading bots use hot wallets. This page is not financial advice; only trade what you can afford to lose.
Quick verdict
- Pick Pump.fun if you want the most traders, the clearest fee schedule and the widest bot support.
- Pick Bonk.fun if you want the lowest per-trade cost on the coins you trade, or a launch with no creator fee.
Neither is a way to make money by launching tokens. Most launched tokens go to zero on both.
Background
Pump.fun launched the bonding-curve memecoin model on Solana and moved graduations to its own DEX, PumpSwap, in March 2025 (The Block). Bonk.fun, formerly LetsBonk.fun, is the BONK community's launchpad and runs on Raydium's LaunchLab. On July 6, 2025 it took 58.5% of Solana launchpad market share, the first day Pump.fun didn't lead (Decrypt). Pump.fun has led since.

Bonk.fun also offers BONKERS launches, where swap fees can be lower but creator fees "can be increased significantly," per the same report. So the fee depends on which launch type a coin used.
On Pump.fun, the full tier table and a worked example are in Pump.fun fees explained, and you can test trade sizes in the Pump.fun fee calculator.
Winner: Bonk.fun on price; Pump.fun on transparency.
Creator rewards
Pump.fun pays creators on every trade and, since February 18, 2026, lets them choose Cashback Coins instead, which send the creator share to traders (crypto.news). Bonk.fun's Classic launches pay the creator nothing from trading; BONKERS launches can pay more.
Bonk.fun's platform revenue goes to the BONK ecosystem. Its revenue dashboard shows 51% to "Buy for BNKK" and 10% to BONKsol staking since December 3, 2025.
Winner: Pump.fun for creators who want fees; Bonk.fun for holders who don't want to pay them.
Usage
30-day fees on DefiLlama, checked September 26, 2026:
| 30-day fees | 30-day revenue | |
|---|---|---|
| Pump.fun (launchpad) | $45.33M | $32.53M |
| BONK.fun Launchpad | $7.08M | $4.20M |
Sources: DefiLlama Pump.fun, DefiLlama BONK.fun Launchpad. Pump.fun's DEX, PumpSwap, did another $17.2 billion in 30-day volume (DefiLlama). Fee rates differ, so fees don't map exactly to volume.
Winner: Pump.fun.
Track record and safety
Pump.fun was exploited by a former employee in May 2024 for about $1.9 million; it compensated users (Helius). A Solidus Labs study classed 98.6% of Pump.fun tokens as rug pulls or pump-and-dumps, which Pump.fun disputed (CoinDesk). Its graduated pools burn their LP tokens.
Bonk.fun: we didn't find a reported platform exploit, though we haven't audited it. Its fee terms are less documented, which makes it harder to check what a coin will cost before you trade.
On both, most tokens fail, and bundled or insider-held supply is common. Check holders before buying (how to spot a rug pull).
Winner: tie. Pump.fun documents more; Bonk.fun has a cleaner incident record.
Trading them with a bot
Whatever bot you use, its fee comes on top of the launchpad's. Padre (Terminal) is Pump.fun's own terminal. Axiom and Trojan are common choices, and Trojan's sniper can filter by launch platform; check that your bot supports the launchpad you trade before funding it. See Solana trading bot fees compared and best Pump.fun trading bot.
Which to choose by user type
Trader who buys new coins early: Pump.fun has far more launches to choose from, but you pay 1.25% per curve trade plus your bot's fee. On a 0.5 SOL buy and sell, that's about 0.0125 SOL to Pump.fun alone (our arithmetic).
Trader who cares most about cost: Bonk.fun Classic coins are cheaper per trade, if the reported 0.30% fee holds for the coin you're trading. Check whether a coin is Classic or BONKERS first.
Creator who wants trading fees: Pump.fun pays creators on every trade by default. Bonk.fun Classic pays nothing; BONKERS can pay more.
Creator who wants holders to pay less: Bonk.fun Classic, or a Pump.fun Cashback Coin, which sends the creator share to traders.
Scores
| Rating | |
|---|---|
| Pump.fun | 9.5 |
| Bonk.fun | 7.2 |
Scores use the same weights as our bot method (about): fees, features, track record and ease of use. We did not launch tokens on either platform.
Bottom line
Pump.fun is where the traders are, and it tells you exactly what you'll pay. Bonk.fun is cheaper on its Classic launches and a real alternative if fees matter more than reach. For more options, see Pump.fun alternatives, best Solana launchpad and our main Solana trading bot ranking.
Risk note: Memecoins are extremely high risk. Most launched tokens go to zero, and no launchpad protects you from that.
